Under the new government, the portfolio held previously by two ministries has been merged into one: the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change. It’s a behemoth portfolio helmed by Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad with implications for the sustainability of the country, especially amid a global push towards renewable energy and reduction of fossil fuel usage.
