Indonesia chaired the first ASEAN Summit of the year this week in the Labuan Bajo. Unsurprisingly, the prolonged conflict situation in Myanmar was one of the key issues in the spotlight, however the lack of progress on resolving the crisis continues to have an impact on ASEAN’s credibility as an institutional actor.
