After starting with Chicago radio station WMBI part-time in announcing in 1948, Chuck Christensen came on full-time in 1950. His work was in production/direction, and he directed music, speech and drama programs. He enjoyed being Sailor Sam on the children's program by the same name.

In 1966, Chuck Christensen was named station manager of WMBI in Chicago, where he served with distinction until 1970 when he moved to the Moody Bible Institute faculty to teach communications courses in mass comm., radio, television and public speaking.  He served as Chair of the Communications Department at MBI from 1980 to 1992.

He lived to be a hundred before God called him home and to the glory of God. Chuck Christensen is a name you should know.
