Author Neil Humphreys follows in the footsteps of William Shakespeare, Samuel Pepys and Tom Cruise as all four have now visited the iconic London pub - The Anchor Inn - on the South Bank of the River Thames. Neil gives co-host Glenn van Zutphen a glimpse into the storied past of a pub that first opened its doors in 1616. The pub served pirates, smugglers and provided diarist Samuel Pepys with the ideal view to witness the Great Fire of London of 1666. Pepys famously recorded what he saw through the pub window. Oh, and Tom Cruise raised a glass to another successful Mission Impossible movie at the same pub.
