As countries strive towards digitalising their economies, the facilitation of safe cross-border data flows has never been more important. While concerns over security and privacy are no doubt valid, asserting control or restricting the movement of data is not the best way forward. 

Does this mean that encouraging free-flow data is a must when trying to achieve a more digital economy?
