Turmoil is brewing on the global chips front as the United States urges South Korean chipmakers not to fill any market gap in China if Beijing bans US memory chipmaker Micron Technology from selling chips. The EU has also struck a deal to boost its semiconductor production as the bloc races to reduce its dependency on Asian suppliers.
Professor Alex Capri, Senior Lecturer at the NUS Business School, and Research Fellow at the Singapore-based Hinrich Foundation weighs in on where the global chip war is headed.
