Families will receive additional support of up to $16,000 for each third and subsequent Singapore Citizen child, on top of existing Baby Bonus Scheme benefits. This was announced by Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong in his recent Budget 2025 speech.

The move comes against a backdrop where couples with more children often worry about additional costs, because the demands grow with each additional child. But is that enough to encourage Singaporeans to have large families?
