Blockchain and crypto solution company Ripple is the latest fintech company to receive in-principle regulatory approval to operate in Singapore.
The news of the San Francisco-based fintech company’s approval, which itself is undergoing a lawsuit against the SEC, is perceived as a rare moment of good news for the cryptocurrency industry globally which is facing tightening policy back home in the United States.
Rahul Advani, Policy Director, APAC at Ripple shares the latest on the lawsuit, the significance of this in-principle approval and in what ways will Ripple’s operations in Singapore contribute to the growth and adoption of digital payments in the APAC region.
