It’s Nomination Day — a key milestone in the lead-up to Polling Day on May 3rd, and we’re keeping a close eye on how the final pieces of the election puzzle are falling into place.

We’ve seen some early signals of the lineups - though some parties like the Workers’ Party have kept their cards close; raising speculation about where the key heavyweights are going to go, and the possible contests and key constituencies to watch.

Dr Chong Ja Ian, Associate Professor from the Department of Political Science at National University of Singapore, helps us make sense of what surprises we can expect today, and what lies ahead in the campaign trail.
