Breakfast Bites: Keep calm and yoga on - Why is laying still so difficult?

View descriptionShare

It is International yoga day today! The UN designated June 21st to recognise its universal appeal, and for us to discover the benefits of yoga for mind, body, and community. Today, yoga is a renowned workout practiced by more than 300 million people across the world.

While people often associate yoga with twisting the body in weird shapes and holding it for a long time, you will be amazed to find out that one of the most important and difficult poses in yoga, Shavasana, is not ‘difficult’ to do in that way... it's just lying down. What??

Audrey and Ryan discuss why it's so difficult to relax, and the benefits of yoga.
