As the industry evolves, the Government has introduced a new support package to help taxi and private-hire drivers prepare for what's next, through training opportunities, career guidance and pathways into new roles within the autonomous vehicle ecosystem.
But as drivers weigh the opportunities against concerns over income, job flexibility and career stability, an important question remains: will these measures be enough to bring them along for the transition?
