Gen Z is rewriting the career playbook. Instead of sticking to one company and climbing the traditional corporate ladder, more young professionals are moving between roles, building side hustles and exploring multiple income streams, with flexibility and financial security high on the list.
New research by International Workplace Group found 43% of Gen Z professionals had changed roles two to three times in the past three years, while a third already have or are considering a side hustle. In Singapore, 32% are looking at a “hybrid career”.
