Unlike the first generation of hawker stalls’ holders, the recent next-generation of hawkers can be trained bankers, lawyers, engineers and more who are leaving their industries and taking over the stalls from their families with great passion for food. To better assist such aspiring stall owners, a Hawkers Collective programme was launched in mid-2021 aiming at training newcomers of this business.
