At Changi Exhibition Centre owned by SME Experia Events, 15,000 solar panels will be installed on the roof-top, in a long-term agreement with Sembcorp Industries. Whe completed in November 2019, the solar energy system is expected to produce over 7,800 megawatt hours of power annually or enough renewable energy to power more than 1,750 four-room HDB flats for a year. It will also help to avoid over 3.2 million kilograms of carbon dioxide emissions a year, which is equivalent to the emissions avoided from taking around 715 cars off the road.
