The Wisconsin State Fair can definitely steal the show for its 10 days of education, entertainment and food.  Remember though, Wisconsin is home to many district and county fairs that also invite visitors in.  Jayme Butke, executive secretary of the WI Fair Association visits with Pam Jahnke about the economic value that fairs bring to communities.  Fairs are also sharing the message of the other "values" they bring to communities through civic grounds and youth organizations.

Farmers know a good thing when they see it.  Farmland Preservation Tax Credits may not be a lot - but it's enough to encourage many farms across the state to be part of the program.  Amy Piaget, Land Conservationist for Dane County has seen the numbers climb.  

Piaget says Dane County leads the state with the number of farms enrolled, but that creates a new issue.  Workload!  Piaget says that's why they've recently implemented a fee structure to help offset those administrative costs.
