It’s pretty early in the state Legislative session for discussion on any bills that we can expect to see regarding Wisconsin agriculture. Sen. Howard Marklein, R-Spring Green, gives us an idea of the discussions that are circling the Capitol building. Marklein will be focused on the next biennial budget in his role as co-chair of the Joint Finance Committee. As a farm kid and member of the Senate Agriculture and Tourism Committee, he does recognize he's in a valuable position to fund agricultural initiatives.
