UW-River Falls Sees Lots Of Visitors Interested In FISC

The cranberry harvest is just around the corner.  Jill Welke catches up with UW-Extension Cranberry Specialist, Allison Jonjak, about how the crop is shaping up.

The inaugural class of the Farm and Industry Short Course is about to launch at UW-River Falls.  Pam Jahnke talks with UWRF coordinator, Dr. Steve Kelm, about applications and coursework.

The Van De Voorts of Price county is celebrating 100 years in the family. For Joe Van De Voort’s family farm in Price County, the cows left in the 1980s, but he brought them back in the 2000s. Joe is the fourth generation on the 80-acre Centennial farm. And in order to continue the farm’s legacy as a dairy farm, he’s starting to think about adding milk processing or a retail store to the operation for the fifth generation.
