Then & Now -- How Soybean Products Came To Market

View descriptionShare

On the farm, ingenuity is the name of the game. Farmers are self-starters, entrepreneurs, and jacks of all trades. Those attributes are even seen in the marketplace as growers get together to solve problems and bring more value to their businesses. Today, we’re taking a look at how biodiesel got started several decades ago. Tom Verry is the director of outreach and development with Clean Fuels Alliance America. Tom has been promoting biodiesel with soybean farmers even before the organization was started. A lot of success has come from trial and error, such as soy foam and biodiesel. Instead of bringing gallons of biodiesel to truck pulls, trying to get people started on it, Tom says the success story has taken them to international markets as the world looks to cleaner fuels.
