The 2024 growing season has not gone according to script in most areas of the state. Even the best laid plans are needing to be revised. Dean Ebert from the West Bend location for Helena Agri, is busy working on those re-writes.
Ebert visits with Pam Jahnke about the adjustments that are going on field by field in his territory. He says ultimately it's about whatever's best for the client and his goals.
Ebert notes that tissue sampling has been eye opening this year on what nutrients are actually available to that plant. The hot, humid weather has also caused some disease issues in wheat. All of these challenges are being evaluated daily by the Helena Agri staff.
