Food Banks have become even more important since Covid and one in Wisconsin goes the extra mile by helping those in need and local farmers. Michelle Orge, the President of Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin, says that they are a connector by taking in donations and buying food for farmers and preparing it for food pantries to give out. She also explains that Second Harvest is in danger of losing their funding from Dane County and hopes people will reach out to their county board members to advocate for Second Harvest to be added into the next budget for Dane County.
