Racine County Fair Reaches 100 Years

View descriptionShare

Fairs have been around since farmers brought their livestock and crops to the town square to sell and be seen by neighbors and friends. Fortunately, county fairs have retained many of the features that they started with:  livestock, vegetables, crops, crafts, and much more.

The Racine County Fair is recognizing that history as they celebrate their 100 year anniversary. Julie Moyer, a committee member of the Racine County Mercantile Hall Restoration Project shares how the Racine County Fair got started.

This year they have a total of 6301 exhibits that will be on display from July 27-31. To learn more about the events happening at the fair, go to https://www.racinecountyfair.com/.
