Jacob and Eliza Bobolz were selected as the winners of Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturists Farming for the Future Award at the organization’s 105th Annual Meeting and YFA Conference on December 8.

Jacob and Eliza Bobolz farm in rural Janesville. They raise Simmental beef cattle, corn, soybeans and hay. In addition, Jacob farms with his parents, Loren and Jan Bobolz. Eliza works in marketing for Broaster Company in Beloit. They have one daughter, Sadie.

Meet The Bobolzes -- 'Farming For The Future' Winners

Wisconsin’s Secretary of Agriculture, Randy Romanski, joins Pam Jhanke to reflect on how this past year has gone for the ag industry and what’s ahead.

As the holiday season approaches, John Heinber, Market Advisor with Total Farm Marketing says trading slows. He expects to see some end of the year squaring in markets. He says we can expect to see a large soybean supply coming out of South America.

Hunting is a long-standing tradition in Wisconsin. Today we hear how farmers have an opportunity with their land and existing infrastructure to invite others to join in the hunt. Bill Hemling has transitioned his family’s six-generation farm in Dodge County to do just that. Bill raises gamebirds on his farm for hunt clubs and is starting his own hunt club on his property. His enthusiasm for Wisconsin culture doesn’t stop there. He’s also looking forward to inviting people out to the Classic Green Reunion coming to West Bend June 12-14. First, Bill introduces us to his farm near Beaver Dam.
