Land Value Has Reluctant Sellers Selling

View descriptionShare

Agriculture is known as one of the most dangerous industries in America, with the equivalent of 23.1 deaths per 100,000 workers. Keith Bryan, the technical service specialist at Chr. Hansen, shares more about the work they do to prepare farmers for harvest safety and the Silage SAFE Program.

Fall harvest time can be one of the busiest and most dangerous seasons of the year for the ag industry. Angela Bunker, senior loss control specialist with American Family Insurance, shares more on recognizing hazards and minimizing loss.

Land values are rising and cash rental rates are going up. Farm Director Pam Jahnke visits with Mike Morris of Compeer Financial. He says in the past 18 months, the volume of land sold has also jumped. This is because bids are higher thanks to high commodity prices, and those formerly reluctant to sell now see strong selling opportunities. This is a paid program.
