Compressed Air Tune-Ups
Performing a compressed air leak survey and repairing audible leaks is crucial for maintaining energy efficiency and reducing operational costs. These leaks impact energy costs significantly and affect the overall system efficiency. Customers can save over $1,500 annually by just repairing one audible leak.
A compressed air system leak survey can include the following:
• Replacing air lubricant separators to the manufacturer’s specs.
• Valving off or capping unused equipment or sections of piping.
• Evaluating system pressure.
• Lubricating and cleaning the compressor motor.
• Inspecting condensate traps.
• Setting for optimum duration/frequency.
• Adjusting or replacing belts if needed.
• Cleaning or replacing the filter.
• Identifying and fixing air leaks.
