Harvest Pace Picks Up As Crops Dry Down - Steve Quade

View descriptionShare

Fields are drying down all across Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.  Steve Quade, Regional Sales Manager with Wyffels Hybrids says they've seen some hybrids dry down more than 5% points in a few days!  That's led to concerns over machine fires, and farmers health.  Quade says thinking safety and prioritizing grower health is paramount right now.

Quade also reminds growers to keep an eye on stalk integrity as combines roll.  Some fields may have experienced unique stresses this year like tar spot and rust that we have encountered before.  Each field will need its individual evaluation.

Quade knows that farmers are competitors and like to know where they stand.  To that end, Wyffels is providing an online harvest tool that lets farmers track their own harvest progress, as well as monitor harvest progress and yields all around the Midwest.  Just go to their website and get signed up!
