Fairs Adjust - Teachers Needed - And Good Dairy Exports - Faulman

View descriptionShare

There's a new face at the Wisconsin Cranberry Growers Association.  Grant Holley is the new Executive Director for Wisconsin Cranberry Growers, coming to the state from North Carolina.  Charitee Seebecker sits down with Holley to find out more about what he has planned for the state's largest fruit growing group.

Stacie Kopenhafer is one of the dairy exhibitors that will be impacted by the new state mandate to test lactating dairy animals before they're allowed to exhibit at fairs or exhibitions.  She says she's making plans to adjust what animals she takes to the fair, depending on what she finds out from her veterinarian.

Sally Ladsten, WI State FFA Advisor at the Department of Public Instruction says despite all the interest and involvement in FFA, the state is struggling to find teachers to fill the vacancies they have.

Marie Preuss, Elroy Fair Board President, is rolling with the punches of the new lactatind dairy cow mandate from the state.  Although the Elroy Fair will be the first fair impacted, Preuss says she kinda saw it coming.  She visits with Charitee Seebecker about their plans.

Andy Faulman, broker analyst with EverAg, joins Pam Jahnke to talk about the value of the Mexican peso and its impact on dairy. That plus the latest supply reports on cheese and butter.
