We’re checking in with Dairy Girl Network, which is approaching its 10-year anniversary. The organization has been able to secure more than 5,000 members from Coast to Coast, but it has its sights set on more growth to underserved populations, such as the Latina community. DGN has humble roots in Wisconsin. President and Founder Laura Daniels says the group started during World Dairy Expo almost 10 years ago, when she invited friends and friends of friends to network at a dinner. She says about 45 people showed up, and there was a clear need to bring dairy women together more often. Daniels has two years left on the DGN board, and is looking forward to the ideas the next generation of leaders brings to the organization.
