This month, the Meet Me Here team has been spreading the gospel of getting out by and on the water this summer. And we stand by that! But not all adventures on the water go well.
Journalist and author Sophie Elmhirst’s book “A Marriage at Sea: A True Story of Love, Obsession, and Shipwreck” is a testament to that, telling the story of an English couple who ended up adrift for 118 days after their sailboat sank. Sophie’s book was a hit last summer and is about to come out in paperback, so host Katie Campbell got her on the line to talk about how some of the best plans can go terribly awry on the open ocean.
