പിറ്റേന്ന് അമ്മയുടെ പിറന്നാളായിരുന്നു. അച്ഛൻ പുത്തനൊരു പട്ടുസാരി അമ്മയ്ക്ക് സമ്മാനമായി നൽകി. നേരത്തെ മാധവൻ മാമനും ദീപക് അങ്കിളും തന്ന പൈസകൊണ്ട് ഒരു കുഞ്ഞിപ്പെട്ടി നിറയെ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് ചോക്ലേറ്റ് വാങ്ങി നൽകി കുട്ടിക്കൂട്ടം. ഒരു വെള്ള പേപ്പറിൽ പല നിറങ്ങളുള്ള സ്കെച്ചു പെന്നുകൾകൊണ്ട് ‘വി ലവ് യൂ അമ്മ’ എന്നെഴുതി ആ പേപ്പർ കൊണ്ടാണ് കുട്ടികൾ ചോക്ലേറ്റ് പെട്ടി പൊതിഞ്ഞത്. The next day was my mother's birthday. Father gifted a new silk saree to mother. Earlier, with the money given by Madhavan Maman and Deepak Uncle, the group of children bought a box full of chocolates for their mother. Children wrote 'We love you mom' on a white paper with colored sketch pens and covered the chocolate box with that paper.
