In this episode of 'India File' podcast, Malayala Manorama Delhi Chief of Bureau Jomy Thomas analyzes Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi's recent call to 'smash patriarchy' and the strategy behind linking it with the Manusmriti and the caste system. The article examines why key historical figures and institutions- including B.R. Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, the Constitution, and the RSS- have re-emerged at the center of this debate. It also looks back at the RSS's stance on the Hindu Code Bill while questioning how much internal backing Rahul Gandhi's aggressive new line will draw from within the Congress party.
