For June 2026, we welcome Mitsuharu Yanamoto, creator of the Manga Taisho 2017 Grand Prize-winning Hibiki: Shousetsuka ni Naru Houhou (Hibiki: How to Become a Novelist) and Ryu to Ichigo, fresh off the conclusion of its serialization.

In this first installment of our four-part series, Yanamoto-sensei reunites with Yoppy after some time apart, leading to a lively and unpredictable conversation. Along the way, Yoshida may even deliver what could be the most outrageous remark in the history of the program! The discussion also explores Yanamoto-sensei’s childhood experiences with manga and the works that shaped him as a creator.
