4:05pm — Happy Mother’s Day! Shout out to the woman who raised you!  If you bought your mom a gift from Nordstrom, you may have been scammed by a fake Fendi or a look-alike Louis Vuitton. Scammers are reportedly purchasing designer bags online, then returning a counterfeit version of the item in person to the store. And apparently the scheme’s two Glendale masterminds have been ripping off Nordstrom for seven years, to the tune of $300,000!

4:18pm — The State Line in Primm, Nevada is closing down because the town is doing away with its last remaining casino, the Primm Valley Casino Resort. It’s the end of an era for road trippers from Southern California to Las Vegas.

4:34pm — Lou busts out the listener TalkBacks from callers who are all so sad to see the demise of the State Line in Primm, plus calls from kids in the back seat who are celebrating their moms this Mother’s Day. Was it a mistake to close Primm, seeing as prices in Vegas are hitting Monte Carlo levels and pricing many visitors out?

4:50pm — The Washington Post has come to the defense of sugar, saying the Trump administration and Health and Human Services head Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are being too hard on the sweet stuff. This comes after Megyn Kelly hosted endurance athlete and author Mark Sisson on her show to talk about the dangers of sugar.
