By Newsbreak Producer, Taliesha Naidoo - Health minister, Dr Aaron Motsoaledi says the cause of death of the six children in the Naledi, Soweto, is as a result of a chemical called Organophosphate. Motsoaledi made the announcement this morning during a media briefing on the food poisoning investigations in Gauteng. This relates to the incident in Naledi, Soweto, where six children died after consuming snacks from a spaza shop. The incident resulted in public outrage, with local communities accusing foreign-owned spaza shops in townships of selling expired and unsafe food products.
