Adam Kok the 3rd, after a respected 19th-century Griqua leader. Kok the 3rd III was a chief who led the people of the Griqua nation from their home in the Orange Free State to Griqualand East, on the east coast of what is now South Africa. The sophisticated vessel will be used to deter threats such as piracy, smuggling, and illegal fishing along South Africa's coastline while also working with SADAC nations.
