This year is the 30th anniversary of the South African Constitution. It's also 60 years since the United Nations adopted the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD), marking a pivotal moment in the global fight against racism. And so on this Human Rights Day which is also the UN's International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination- it's a critical moment to take stock of global human rights. That's the assessment of Abigail Noko, the United Nations Human Rights Regional Representative, Southern Africa office.
