by Newsbreak Producer, Tashlan Naidoo - Health advocacy group, the Progressive Health Forum (PHF) are calling for an expeditious and transparent process as the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) pursues criminal charges against those involved in the Life Esidimeni tragedy. The tragedy resulted in the deaths of 144 patients between 2015 and 2016 when psychiatric patients were moved from licensed care facilities to unregistered and ill-equipped NGO's. Convener of the Forum, Dr Aslam Dasoo says a precedent has to be set if we are to avoid such tragedies in the future....
