Deokaran was a South African whistleblower murdered for reporting corruption at the Gauteng Department of Health where she was working as the acting chief director financial accounting officer. Chairperson of the temple's society, Seelan Archary says - with Deokaran's family blessings, the bust will be unveiled on Women's Day in a public formal ceremony. The provincial Department of Transport says the numbers will be sold for R2,000 on a first-come, first-serve basis this month. Sales will take place in Pietermaritzburg and Durban and will be limited to residents of those cities. The department says it is also exploring the possibility of making more four-digit numbers available in other parts of the province. KZN Transport and Human Settlements Spokesperson Ndabezinhle Sibiya has the details...
