The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that around 2.4 million women are diagnosed with breast cancer globally every year, underscoring the need for greater awareness and timely intervention. The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) says early detection can significantly improve treatment outcomes, while more young women in their 20's and 30's are being diagnosed with the disease.
