The event, hosted by the Avalon Group, serves as a triple celebration honoring Hassen's literary milestone alongside the group's 87th anniversary and the author's own 50th wedding anniversary. Attendance is free on a first-come, first-served basis, with all guests receiving the new 15-book collection as a complimentary gift. I spoke to Fakir to find out what this event means to him. He says it's also a way to pay tribute to his late dear friend Zakia Ahmed Siddiqi...

By Newsbreak Senior Producer Taresh Harreeparshad - The National Prosecuting Authority's decision not to prosecute the man accused of killing a man in Emmarentia in Johannesburg is still temporary. That's according to legal expert Advocate Niven Rai. This week a man appeared in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court and was expected to be charged for the murder of motorist Faisal ul Rehman- who was shot in an alleged road rage incident. Rehman's wife was also shot. But the NPA decided not to enroll the matter- pending further investigations. The NPA says investigations will continue with police and the matter will be prosecuted once the NPA is satisfied with the evidence. This comes as video and dash cam footage of the incident has gone viral on social media. Advocate Rai explains that the NPA will look at all forms of evidence in its entirety...

The woman was arrested on the 3rd of April after she allegedly robbed a woman and ended up in hospital thereafter. While under police guard- it is alleged that she jumped out of a window and fled. The suspect is allegedly linked to the murder of 82-year-old Indrawathy Rampersadh in Merebank. PT Alarm's Tactical spokesperson Dhevan Govindasamy says it is concerning that the suspects whereabouts are untraceable at this stage...
