New Beginnings

With December 25th behind us on the calendar what do we do with Christmas?

Where did all the tidings of Joy, giving to those in need, and the desire for more Jesus go?

Christmas is a way, not a day, it is Yahweh!

Today, on Like It Matters Radio, Mr. Black wants to encourage listeners to stay in the Christmas Spirit.  Christmas is a WAY, not a DAY, it is YAHWEH! People need HOPE and HEAT no matter the time of year.  We live in a dark, bitter, and self-absorbed world.  There are wars, and death, there are marriages and divorces, there is sickness and health.  There are good people doing bad things, and there are healthy people taking their lives because of feelings of despair.  Helpless and Hopeless, war ravaging our families, our communities and our countries.  God sent His Son to HEAL and to SAVE.  As followers of Jesus, we get to be his hands and his feet, throughout the year, not just December 24-25 of each year. On today’s Hour of Power, Mr. Black will be joined by Michael Johnson President of the Slavic Gospel Association, with a focus on the children of Ukraine.  Listeners today will be inspired and will be entertained, but they will also be called to stay in the Christmas Spirit and to bring some Heat and Hope to the children of Ukraine, to our fellow citizens and to our families!  Enjoy today’s Inspiration, Education and Application as Mr. Black encourages listeners to stay in the Christmas Spirit and remember: Christmas is NOT a day, it is a WAY, it is YAHWEH!

It is Christmas time.  The Holidays are upon us, with get togethers, treats, parties, lights, and music.  For many there is also sadness, loss, fear, and loneliness.  What does every human being WANT, and NEED this Holiday celebration?  CHRISTMAS FLOW.  ‘The Psychology of Optimal Experience; FLOW’, was written by Hungarian American psychologist, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. He defines flow as a state of complete immersion in an activity where time seems to disappear, the ego fades, and the experience itself becomes deeply rewarding. Consider the benefits of getting into a CHRISTMAS FLOW. Flow requires attention and presence. Christmas spirit requires slowing down and noticing blessings. Flow is about intrinsic reward. Christmas spirit is about relational reward; love, hope, and belonging. Flow dissolves the ego. Christmas spirit dissolves self-sufficiency, reminding us of the Savior who carries our burdens.
