CAN MY HUSBAND FORGIVE ME?
Dear Mapaseka, I am 4 months pregnant and in a very stressful situation. Last year I was visiting my family in a different province and ended up being intimate with an ex of mine who is also married.
I know for sure that this is not my husband’s child as he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. We have not been intimate for over a year since he started undergoing treatment. At this point the stomach is going to show and I am afraid of what this could mean for my marriage.
My ex is also a close family friend back at home and once they see the baby everyone will see the resemblance. I have 2 children with my husband and they adore their life with their father. He has been an incredible partner to me and supported me in every way.
When I told the ex he said I should abort the child as he is not willing to risk his marriage, I could not go through with the abortion. How do I live with this and face my children and family?, how do I tell my husband in the state that he is in, I want the child to have the same surname as my other children, can my marriage survive this?
