Dear Life, Love and All
Dear Mapaseka
I asked my male friend of 20 years to donate his sperm as i had been struggling to find a steady and fulfilling relationship. When I turned 38 I decided to take matters into my own hands as the other areas of my life were doing well at the time. My friend finally agreed on the condition that I can be his side partner. I refused to be a side partner but I agreed that we can have the child naturally. By the time I fell pregnant he had paid lobola for his wife; currently they have 2 of their own kids. My son is now 7 years and I am dating a great supportive guy. He doesn't know my friend is the father.
I lost my job early this year and I have asked the friend and baby daddy to help support the
child through school fees and include him on his medical aid along with his wife and children.
He can afford to support. His wife knows me as a family friend. He is refusing to show any form of
support and i want to inform his wife so we can all talk about co-parenting.
Mapaseka i also need for him to include my son in his will; I chose him because of his stability
and that if anything ever happens to me he would take over. I am in distress and
I want my child to know who his father is. I regret how I have dealt with this whole situation.
What should I do?
