The Lamm Jewish Library of Australia is partnering with the National Library of Israel inviting Australia's Jewish women to submit personal essays  about their reflections and experiences of the aftermath post October 7 and the tumultuous times being experienced in Australia . The rallying call for the project is “A Year Like No Other: Write from the Heart, Write for the Future”. The essays will be compiled and archived at the Lamm Library and Israel's National Library October 7 Archive, which has been established to serve as a central repository for documents in the wake of the October 7 atrocities. A selection of the essays will be published as part of the Lamm Jewish Library’s anthology series. Personal essays should be up to 2000 words in English or Hebrew. Email your essay to: commanthology2024@gmail.com. Please include your full name and contact details. You will receive a confirmation email and a brief questionnaire to complete.

The “Kaddish: A Holocaust Memorial” concert will be performed at Hamer Hall on Thursday 31st October and will be preceded by a “Kaddish Panel Discussion and Open Rehearsal of Leonard Bernstein’s Symphony No. 3 Kaddish” – also at Hamer Hall – on Tuesday 29th October.
