The JCCV is the recognised roof body and voice of Victorian Jewry—representing over 59 member organisations, from synagogues and schools to cultural groups, sporting clubs, aged care providers, and social justice organisations. It plays a vital role in advocating for and supporting the Jewish community while fostering strong connections with the broader Victorian public. One of the standout initiatives led by Josh is the Jewish Immersion Program, the JCCV’s flagship cultural training program, which continues to grow rapidly. It’s designed to educate non-Jewish service providers—like local councils, health and aged care workers, emergency services, and sporting clubs—on the richness, diversity, and lived experiences of Victoria’s Jewish community. The program has been widely praised for its impact in building understanding, addressing prejudice, and promoting inclusion.
