Morry Frenkel speaks with respected cardiologist Dr Rodney Teperman, Vice Chairman of the Australian Friends of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, about the importance of the facility in Israel and its principle of attending to all patients equally, regardless of their religious or cultural background. Rodney also describes the remarkable transformation of the Shaare Zedek’s three-level, underground carpark into a fully functional hospital with 400 beds and 5 intensive care units in a planned response to the beginning of the war with Iran. The Australian Friends of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center raises funds for the facility and runs educational webinars featuring local and Israeli medical specialists talking about their areas of interest.
