Morry Frenkel speaks with Dr Philip Bliss OAM, former Chair, and currently Treasurer of the Australian Council of Christians and Jews, about the history and aims of that organisation, and his information guide, “Jewish Life Beyond Bagels: A Friendly Introduction to Jewish Life, Beliefs and Traditions”. Philip talks about the need for, and target audience of, the booklet and briefly describes its seven sections: Jews and Judaism in Australia; Religious Observance; What Jews Believe; Life Cycle Events; Conversion; Zionism and Israel; and Jewish Festivals.
