Associate Professor Jeremy Goldin – Those who are heavily pro-Palestine don’t have any skin-in-the-game

View descriptionShare

Morry Frenkel speaks with Associate Professor Jeremy Goldin, Vice-President of the Australian Zionist Healthcare Alliance (AZHA), about the establishment of the organisation and its role as an advocate for Jewish and non-Jewish health providers, medical students and patients who have suffered or witnessed antisemitic abuse. Jeremy describes some of the more than 100 incidents that are part of the AZHA’s submission to the Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion. He also talks about the potentially serious consequences of cancelling an Israeli trauma surgeon from attending a conference just weeks before the terrorist attack on Bondi Beach. While some hospital administrators have been pro-active in dealing with antisemitism, others continue to ignore the problem. For doctors, allied health providers, medical students and patients who are seeking assistance on dealing with an antisemitic incident, please email info@azha.org.au with details. Team L’Chaim encourages everyone who hasn’t done so, to make a personal submission to the Royal Commission before June 14th. Go to www.shareyourstory.org.au for links to the official submission form and help sites if needed.
