Prevention and Early Intervention programmes under our scope in the Joe Gqabi District actually cut across 7 categories. Outreach Services, Education and Information, Temporary safe care, diversion programmes, skills development programmes, therapeutic programmes and family preservation. The Isibindi Drop in Centre is the project where I'm based in Barkly East; looks at home visits and counselling, mentorship classes to human rights essays with high school kids, reading campaigns, motivational classes and youth dialogues. At Maclear there is Khaya organization, which has not commenced with its work because the proper structures are being put in place. Then GXD in Aliwal north with looks at conflict resolution between parents and children and adoption marketing and drug awareness talks. In Ugie, Masincedane looks at statutory work, temporary placements and home visits and Khaya Organization and there is statutory work carried out in Stynsburg.
