UW-La Crosse political science professor, Dr. Anthony Chergosky, in studio discussing the fallout from Derrick Van Orden’s teen tirade, an $870 billion defense bill and Chick-Fil-A conveyor drive-thrus. Began the show, however, talking quick about Minnesota legalizing recreational marijuana, before we got into the Van Orden discussion. For those who don’t know, Van Orden cursed at Senate interns for taking pics of the US Capitol on their last day of work. After that, we hit on the defense bill that both Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson — the world’s most opposite politicians, who just happen to be from the same state, voting together on the same bill — signed on. We took a political break and talked a couple of food stories, including Subway offering free subs for anyone that changes their name to Subway,” French’s and Skittles teaming up for some disgusting promotion, and the whole Chick-Fil-A conveyor idea. Lastly, picked Chergosky’s brain about Third Party candidates in the presidential race and how they could spoil it for either Democrats or Republicans. This stems from an argument with La Crosse County Democratic Party chair William Garcia saying the No Labels Party is simply created to put Donald Trump back into office.
