SEPTA plans to kill fares discounts ahead of Pennsylvania funding deal

Philadelphia police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of robbing three banks in the last week or more.

The latest incident took place yesterday at the TD Bank along Roosevelt Boulevard, near Levick Street, in Oxford Circle.

The other two robberies happened last week at two different Citizen Banks — one along Aramingo Avenue in Fishtown on August 26th, and the other along Cottman Avenue in Castor Gardens on August 29th.

Investigators say in each case the suspect used a demand note to get away with unspecified amount of cash.

He is considered armed and dangerous. You can see surveillance images of him on our website, KYW Newsradio-dot-com.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Violent Task Force at 215-418-4000.

Police ask for help identifying bank robber who struck 3 times last week

A Lancaster County woman who was severely injured in a Amish school shooting that killed 5 girls and wounded 5 others has died 18 years later.

Rosanna King was only 6-years-old in October 2006 when gunman, 32-year-old Charles Carl Roberts the Fourth, entered the West Nickel Mines Amish schoolhouse in Bart Township, targeting only the girls, shooting them and then himself. 

At the time of Rosanna had been considered the most severely injured, surviving a shot to the head. The attack left her disabled and unable to talk. 

A funeral director saying today she died at her home this week. 

A funeral is planned at her home in the farming community of Paradise on Friday.

Amish woman dies 18 years after deadly schoolhouse shooting left her severely injured

Philadelphia city council will take up the cause of bike safety, with a bill to prohibit vehicles from stopping in bike lanes. KYW’s City Hall bureau chief Pat Loeb reports it’s one of several bills introduced, today, in council’s first session of the fall.
